As an advertising professional, with over 30 years of experience creating national television campaigns, I am appalled that members of my community would stoop to producing commercials that exhibit such a disgustingly low level of integrity.
This cheap, sleazy ASPCA campaign resorts to the worst kind of emotional manipulation, to reach into the pockets of kind, caring Americans who are not sophisticated enough to see through this obvious trickery.
Rather than creating messages that explain the problem of abandoned animals and then proposing a solution, the TV spots leave us with no information or plan beyond throwing money to this ruthless organization.

these commercials make me want to puke.. yes its a sad situation to abuse or neglect animals children or elderly BUT I can not stand the ASPCA commercials

Pure emotional guilt trip manipulation. Commercials are sick, disturbing, and potentially could cause harm to anyone on the edge. I wonder how many people have just said 'screw life' and committed suicide after seeing one of these commercials.
These commercials are too long and full of emotional abuse towards the viewer. Save it for your website ASPCA. 30 second commercial asking for donations is all you need not a 5 minute infomercial.
Never giving one dime to ASPCA after this. Will save it for other no kill shelters that don't abuse people for a buck.

It rips my heart to see those animals so mistreated... makes me angry to see the ASPCA using this to extract money from people sympathetic to the cause.

This is EXACTLY what I was looking for !! Those commercials are Discussting !! I donate to our local shelter every Christmas instead of buying gifts for people. If I won a lottery I would rescue them ALL. I CANT stand those commercials ! Show me what you do to the people who have abused these animals ! Now that would get my attention ! NOT the ones I mute !!!

I work my but off all day - 12+ hours, I spend another hour cooking dinner for my family. And just when we sit down to watch family TV these commercials comes on, back to back (Discovery Channel) which last at least three minutes each. my family are in tears, they cannot eat dinner and lose their appetite and run off. I now have to throw dinner away as it is ruined. they are now so depressed and miserable. Please stop these godforsaken commercials. We have such poverty in America why don't companies advertise that instead? While I am a animal lover of 35+ years I don't understand the need for these commercials there is something in this world called the 'circle of life, and maybe the commercial makers should look into that. And other countries across this world people actually eat cats and dogs for substance. This is just life people, get over it!

Can think of 1000 things more important to give money to thst all involve humans. Animals are nice snd all but we have starving, abused, and neglected children. Let's stop the hate and manipulative commercials and take care of each other.

I have heard many bad things about the ASPCA not using donations so much for the dogs, and I would feel alot better if I knew the people responsible for this treatment of dogs, were punished severly, but never hear anything about that part. Do they just get away with it and move on to start up some other place? So sickening. I also think this is mental abuse to viewers, many times I change the station. Get so sick of it. Why do we have to feel quilty? Why??? not fair. Post the pictures of the people who are doing this... I'd like to see them paraded around in front of us. So mad.....

Love aspca I just want too see an uplifting commercial there's no reason they can't have a happy commercial like showing how happy the animals are after they have been adopted not how sad they are because you havent adopted them
