Sub.: Proposed development about demolishing the Hameediah School

Respected members and executive committee of UHMS

As-Salamu 'Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu

We the old students of Hamediah High School, longtime members of UHMS and melatheru Jamaath came to know about the recent development about demolishing the Hameediah School near Puthu Pallivasal. We the old students of Hameediah School oppose the demolition of this structure. We would like to know the reason for such demolition and reconstruction. Please answer the following questions before proceeding with this unauthorised demolition:

1. Does the stability of the structure is in question? If yes, do you have documents to support your claim? An expert team of international acclaim inspected the building and rendered their opinion, which questions your claim about stability.

2. Is the student strength going to increase from the current 400+. The school could easily accommodate more than 700+ student, then what is the need for expansion? Does any of your children or grand children currently study here or going to study in the future?

3. Do you have any intention of moving to Kilakarai and convert the school into a state of the art facility and put your children or grand children in the new building? Is that the reason why you want to build a new structure? For your kind information, the current infrastructure could be converted into an advanced state of the art building with all modern facility at a fraction of the cost than what you would be spending on a unwanted new construction.

We as senior members of this UHMS Sangam and the old Students of this prestigious institution would like to get an answer from the UHMS School committee. We hope our suggestions are taken into account in good spirit, discussed with an open mind and implemented accordingly.

புதுப்பள்ளிவாசல் அருகே உள்ள ஹமீதியா பள்ளியை இடிக்கப் போவது குறித்து ஹமீதியா உயர்நிலைப் பள்ளியின் பழைய மாணவர்களான எங்களுக்குத் தெரிய வந்தது. ஹமீதியா பள்ளியின் பழைய மாணவர்களான நாங்கள் இக்கட்டடத்தை இடிப்பதை எதிர்க்கிறோம். அத்தகைய இடிப்பு மற்றும் புனரமைப்புக்கான காரணத்தை நாங்கள் அறிய விரும்புகிறோம். இந்த அங்கீகரிக்கப்படாத இடிப்பைத் தொடர்வதற்கு முன் பின்வரும் கேள்விகளுக்குப் பதிலளிக்கவும்:

1. கட்டமைப்பின் உறுதித்தன்மை கேள்விக்குறியாக உள்ளதா? ஆம் எனில், உங்கள் கோரிக்கையை ஆதரிக்கும் ஆவணங்கள் உங்களிடம் உள்ளதா? சர்வதேச அங்கீகாரம் பெற்ற நிபுணர் குழு கட்டிடத்தை ஆய்வு செய்து, ஸ்திரத்தன்மை பற்றிய உங்கள் கூற்றை கேள்விக்குள்ளாக்கிய தங்கள் கருத்தை தெரிவித்தனர்.

2. தற்போதைய 400+ல் இருந்து மாணவர் பலம் அதிகரிக்கப் போகிறதா. பள்ளியில் 700க்கும் மேற்பட்ட மாணவர்களை எளிதில் தங்க வைக்க முடியும், பிறகு விரிவாக்கத்தின் அவசியம் என்ன? உங்கள் பிள்ளைகள் அல்லது பேரக்குழந்தைகள் யாராவது தற்போது இங்கு படிக்கிறார்களா அல்லது எதிர்காலத்தில் படிக்கப் போகிறார்களா?

3. கீழக்கரைக்கு சென்று பள்ளியை அதிநவீன வசதியாக மாற்றி உங்கள் குழந்தைகளையோ பேரக் குழந்தைகளையோ புதிய கட்டிடத்தில் சேர்க்கும் எண்ணம் உங்களுக்கு உள்ளதா? அதனால்தான் நீங்கள் ஒரு புதிய அமைப்பை உருவாக்க விரும்புகிறீர்களா? உங்கள் அன்பான தகவலுக்கு, தேவையற்ற புதிய கட்டுமானத்திற்கு நீங்கள் செலவழிக்கும் செலவின் ஒரு பகுதியிலேயே தற்போதைய உள்கட்டமைப்பு அனைத்து நவீன வசதிகளுடன் கூடிய மேம்பட்ட நவீன கட்டிடமாக மாற்றப்படலாம்.

இந்த UHMS சங்கத்தின் மூத்த உறுப்பினர்களாகவும், இந்த மதிப்புமிக்க நிறுவனத்தின் பழைய மாணவர்களாகவும் நாங்கள் UHMS பள்ளிக் குழுவிடம் இருந்து விடை பெற விரும்புகிறோம். எங்களின் ஆலோசனைகள் நல்ல மனதுடன் கணக்கில் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளப்பட்டு, திறந்த மனதுடன் விவாதிக்கப்பட்டு, அதன்படி செயல்படுத்தப்படும் என்று நம்புகிறோம்.
