They are critical to biodiversity, agriculture, and the fate of our planet altogether. 87% percent of plant species depend on animals- most of which are pollinators like bees. One in every three bites of food you take depend on pollinators, and without bees, the amount of fruit, oil, seeds, nuts, vegetables and of course honey- will diminish an exponential amount.
However, insect populations have declined by 75% over the past 50 years, and honeybees alone have had a 40% decline in populations.
we need insects and bees to live <3. If you don't like bees, starve.
