STOP dangerous parking outside Newlands Community Primary School

I'm doing this because my boyfriends brother lives right near there and he has 3 very young children

I live near to school and parking is silly. I have come home so many times to people parked infront of my driveway, school zig zags and really close to the roundabout going onto hinckley road parking upto the bump but meaning other vehicles (lorries for delivary)cant get round.

The dangerous congestion at Belvue road when our children are coming to and from school is out of control especially now heath lane is closed off forcing all traffic through that way. I dont understand why this is not in any interest to our councils when so many young lives are at stake??? Also the Barwell Infants & Juniors have 5 crosing protrol people in their areas for children who are ecorted to school because of their young ages, yet Heath lane Accademy and Newlands have zero and no zebra crossing to make the crazy traffic stop for them! We need something now! Not next summer or next year Now!!!

The road as come dangerous at school times , cars parked everywhere with no consideration for the children who are walking to school, could do with a lollipop person or crossing for safety reasons

The situation on belle vue road at school times needs addressing. Very dangerous and gets extremely busy. Not safe at all for the children.

The road is so dangerous at school pick up and drop off times. I have witnessed people mounting the pavement in their cars almost knocking over children. Something needs to be done.

My son was almost hit from behind as a car drove on the footpath. There is no safe place to cross at the moment. We really need some form of crossing

As a parent and also a local Police officer I have great concerns over the situation that I see and here about on a regular basis regarding parking and road rage incidents outside of Newlands School. This will only get worse as the school will double in children numbers in the near future. I am also hearing of drivers mounting the paths to get by vehicles, I am currently dealing with issues where as delivery lorries for the two building sites on Heath lane are delivering during school drop of times which are just adding to the growing problem. You have residents trying to leave the estate for work and parents dropping children off. There clearly is not the infrastructure road wise to allow for the current situation let alone the expansion. I would suggest that the old boarded up part of the school to be demolished and turned into a large car park or drop off/pick up area for the school to relieve the growing problem. As a community are we really going to allow someone to be injured or worse before this issue is addressed??????

I think the parking situation has got really bad and very dangerous for the children something should b done before a child gets hurt most of the parents that take and pick up there children live a short distance away from the school and could quite easily walk them to school I live over a mile away from the school so to get them to school on time I use my car luckly my parents live on belle vue just past the one-stop so I park my car on there drive away from the congestion but it's still a concern for my children crossing the busy road
