The proposed variances would significantly and negatively affect the quality of life of those in our community. The current situation at DAG is already difficult with many noise and traffic issues. They do not respond adequately to residents' inquiries about noise. This will only get worse. Our square is also a gathering place, community hub, and marketplace in warmer weather. Usage would be greatly affected by an adjacent service bay.

DAG has shown to be incapable and not interested in creating a workable community for residents. Their operations give little thought to safety, noise and separation of space. Further, their employees make a mess of the relatively new adjacent public park as a defacto smoking area. Their operations should not be expanded in the remaining retail spaces.

I'm confident that the buy-in from owners and renters was not to live in an auto dealership or commercial space, both unrelated to healthy living. There are other more important and appropriate businesses that can be in this space and good luck filling vacancies if the variance occurs. People want health promotion, not living in a garage or show room, which invites risks to health, well-being, and privacy.

This is NOT what this community needs, wants or was promised - we have families with young children living here - surly a DAG garage working on cars right in the middle of our community isn't good for anyone ( except DAG). PLEASE prevent this from happening to our home. Noise, even more congestion, fumes - not good.

As an owner at 30 Baseball Place, I am strongly opposed to this development. The noise, pollution, and litter (specifically cigarette butts discarded by DAG workers in our residential area) are unacceptable. This is not how we want our community to be defined.

DAG has consistently created issues for the “community building” we moved into. Between constant noise that extends beyond noise bylaw hours, the employees leaving their litter and cigarette butts around the property, and employees consistently creating safety issues by leaving doors open, an additional DAG property would be an unwise investment that will likely lead to residents moving out en-masse.

As a resident/owner in 15 Baseball Place for over five years (since building occupancy), I cannot overemphasize how terrible DAG's expansion would be for this community. Here are some resident encounters with DAG during my time here: (1) DAG monopolizes the driveway outside our residential buildings (which it has no legal right to), creating a traffic jam for deliveries, not to mention emergency vehicles; (2) DAG removed paid parking from our underground parking levels, so any guests who drive here have to park several blocks away; (3) DAG staked promotional materials in our garden planters, which are there to beautify the neighbourhood, not promote a private business; (4) DAG employees litter their cigarette butts in the public park adjoining our buildings; (5) loud deliveries to DAG in the early hours of the morning show no regard for people trying to sleep. In sum, DAG has repeatedly and aggressively monopolized space that it is not entitled to, to the detriment of the community. Please DO NOT reward this bad neighbour's behaviour by allowing DAG to enlarge its footprint. The people who live here deserve better.

I oppose DAG taking this space. They already drive recklessly and aggressively in the residential area. There is no 5min stop area for residents as it is we are penalized being ticketed while run groceries etc inside quickly while DAG is parking and stopping causing obstructions without any penalty.
