Please stop this! As an artist on deviantART, I absolutely despise this idea. People put time and effort into their art and do not deserve to have it stolen from them.

Stealing someone else's art is really messed up. Art takes time and patience besides it's a job for a lot of them. You wouldn't steal from work, would you?

The stuff the staff pull makes me think what sort of fudgery is this. Stealing is still damn stealing! Whether in physical or digital form. I had my fanfics ripped off from some jerk on Fanfiction.Net as well as another deviant. He's banned now but it's the principle of the thing! Stealing art and literary works are NOT and NEVER will be OK!

I can't stand Art Theives - If somebody asks permission to use an artists work and the artist says yes thats a different matter - but if the artist says no then their deciscion should be respected!

it is just disrespectful and ignorant. Do these people have any idea how long it takes to make things like that?? To get an idea of how everything will work? We all know it takes A LOT of time and it is just rude to steal the art of someone who spent so much time on it. You can't just come to deviantart and steal someone's art, saying it's yours. This whole community is making something special, pouring their hearts out in every piece they make and people like them act like it's theirs and treat art as if it took less than a minute to make. If they're already on devianart, I ask them to MAKE art and not STEAL it.

As an artist I take pride in people commenting on how much they like my work, and I would be absolutely fine if someone asked if they could use my art for a guide fod their drawing. But I beleive that copying art without permission and possibly recoloring it to claim it as someone else's own art is stealing. I'm against this decision and hope that it will be stopped.
