Why destroy boise's buildings? This is downtown and we should keep are town original the way it was made. There is no need to build another pharmacy when we have 3 around us that family's can afford to get what they need. You know prices would go up and now days WHO can afford that, plus state street is busy enough we DON'T need this at all NO NO NO. Let's stand together. Amen

This proposal is unnecessary and replaces historic structures with surface parking. Please vote to deny the application.

Please do not allow CVS in this area. It will negatively impact the neighborhood with increased traffic and the destruction of long standing homes.

I would like to keep my home. There is no reason 4 pharmacys need to be in a block radius of each other just shows how corporate America gets what they want. Let's make sure they don't take our homes away.!!!

I do not feel a CVS belongs on a block historically zoned with beautiful old buildings, just so CVS can try and gain market share against the Rite Aid situated directly across the street. We don't need two and this application is obviously using our neighborhood as a means to fight a national brand turf war. Yuk, please reject this idea, we need smarter growth in our beautiful neighborhood!

Even though Boise has been named one of the best places to live in the nation, and the North End the premier neighborhood to live in, why is the City hell bent on destroying the quaintness and livability of our wonderful town by allowing foothill developments that will cause immense amounts of traffic through our streets and entertain the addition of ugly and inappropriate new construction on our borders. As a 4th generation and a 73yr. resident of Boise’s North End, I am adamantly opposed to CRV’s proposed construction on 17th and State Sts. In Boise, ID.

The construction of this unneeded CVS big box store is an abomination. There currently exists 3 other pharmacies within a few blocks--Rite Aid, Albertsons and Customedica. Currently there are 4 perfectly functional early 20th Century homes of Jefferson that would be torn down. These homes are currently used for small offices/non profit entities. These same four homes can easily be restored to use as functional homes or rental homes, something this part of town is in dire need of, not another pharmacy. This project is completely inappropriate for this mixed use block, not to mention an enormous parking lot and traffic addition to an already overburdened State Street. I would ask for the entire City Council membership as well as Planning and Zoning department staff to step down if they were to approve this. CVS can build a pharmacy in an already existing shopping mall.

I am against the proposed development of CVS. We do not need it, since there are 2 pharmacies near.

I live at Sherman and 20th. I am opposed to the CVS pharmacy for several reasons. The proposed location already has two pharmacies. Those two pharmacies are located in business that have large parking lots that are often not even close to being full. We do not need another large parking lot. The proposed 15,000 sq ft building is not in keeping with the businesses in the area. Indeed, the current business are moving towards boutique specialty shops and restaurants. If I was a business like that, I would not want to locate across from a chain store like CVS. And, I have been in CVSs. They are ugly stores selling cheap items that reduce the quality of our neighbor, for which I pay a lot of taxes for.

The last thing North Boise needs is another pharmacy, especially in place of historic buildings. Boise is unique and beautiful. Please don’t turn it into another generic suburb
