Head of Creative Technologies Faculty. (Secondary education) and a strong believer that the Arts enhance young people's lifes. Because we have held arts subjects in such high esteem for generations in Britain is why we have such a rich history. To cut funding, is to cut the life blood of those young people that dare to dream.

Performing arts has help me grow as a person not only has my confidence increase but I have also learnt many different skills. It would be such a disappointment to cut the arts as its a place where people and express themselves and have fun! Please save the arts!

I'm starting musical theatre this year at Chichester, and I plan to make a living off of performing, and constantly hearing about cuts to the arts is horrible. I'm sure there are plenty of other subjects that the government can apply cuts to and not just the arts; a huge amount of people go into the arts, so it's definitely not focusing on he minority either!

I'm absolutely in love with the arts and would love a future in it. Its really awful that they keep cutting funding for something so incredible that allows us to express ourselves and be who we want to be.

Just because the Performing arts aren't necessarily considered Academic Subjects doesn't mean you have the right to cut them! We are just as important!

The arts are the second biggest employer in this country and a major export and tourist attraction. The government itself admits this but refuses to acknowledge that this is an industry which needs investment not reduction

Why not take cuts from maths or something they only need pen pencil paper ruler etc. We need a wide range of things depending on the art, if its drama then lighting is needed which isn't cheap, photography you'd need cameras and lenses and dark rooms. Etc etc
