The performing arts are an essential party of many peoples lives, from gaining confidence as a child to an amazing hobby to a career. Cutting needs to stop.

I'm starting Birmingham Ormiston Academy in September for their Acting course. I believe that the Government's constant cuts to funding for the arts is having a major impact on performers looking for opportunities. It shouldn't be as hard as it is.

i myself studying acting and it's all I've ever wanted To do, be on a stage, how do the government think we get entertainment? When they go home at night to watch telly where do they think that joy comes from? THE FLIPPING ARTS we provide the worlds entertainment through TV, film, and the theatre all induced through spare time and as a form of joy, stop making cuts its ridiculous and remember anything you can do I can do better so don't try to bring us down;)

i don't think the arts should be cut because how will some children express thier emotions if they are being bullied or abused at home. How will children find thier passion for the arts.
