If the government cut funds for the arts there will be less opportunities to put on professional and amateur shows in the UK

For the people who say "The Arts aren't a very academic route and it's a dead end career" just remember that in your Child's English Literature GCSE course, 9 times out of 10 they will study a script and have to analyse it for their exam! So before you argue your invalid excuses! Think!

The Arts are my life, I have devoted the last 5 of my 15 years of my life to studying drama and acting, if more cuts are made, it could be devastating

By cutting the fund for artistic education etc. People of our generation won't ,in the future have the chance to go into a career the love/ have a passion for.

What a depressing society we would live in with no arts or culture. Cuts to arts funding sends completely the wrong message to those who find immense enjoyment in watching and performing and would discourage or prevent many people participating and training. Its importance is beyond explanation. Please do not cut funding to the arts, there must be some other way.

Arts are equally as important as any other subject, in some cases, maybe more so. They bring the world together as the arts allow people to communicate with a universally understood language. Cutting arts is cutting the creativity, imagination and open-mindedness of children.

Budget cuts obviously effect the bigger performance colleges like BOA but it really hits the smaller colleges harder, like mine. We hardly get any funding and we have to pay for our shows ourselves which means we only get to do one performance. So please, stop the budget cuts!!!

I studied my honours degree in musical theatre and it's so hard to get work anywhere but London. If the funding stopped getting cut there would be more opportunities for the likes of me!

If we want the Future of Theatre and the Arts, to be a bright one, this needs to stop.
