Common Core goes beyond Standardized testing of our children. It will hinder their future, based solely on their test scores. They will not be able, nor allowed to explore career opportunities, just because of what they scored on a standardized test is unjust! It's designed to go beyond just the test. My children are not widgets or little machines they are not to be used for testing as if they were so. Mr. KIng sends his children to private school without common core, a luxury we all can not afford. The children of NY state should not be taught with your untested methods, the curriculum or "modules" make my children cry, really is "tesalation" a word that should be used on a 7 year olds math home work? EngageNY curriculum thinks so, I as a parent do not! Common Core must go!!! Send the Race to the Top pennies back to the federal government tell them NY state children will be taught well and not dumbed down to pay off a textbook company and private business interests!!

The only people who benefit from Common Core are the people making money from it. It is a terrible concept and does nothing but stress out teachers as well as students.

As a College instructor, I can affirm that CC in no way prepares students for what they are expected to know, or use in college. This will only lead to greater troubles down the road for these kids. It's time to end this ridiculous program before it is too late.

im all for increasing the difficulty of the classes but not the difficulty of math
(427-316) is simple match why do I need a full page to draw out circles and curves with labels and a number lines?. I'm against the introduction of CCI in NEW YORK State

Educators, parents & most importantly students are frustrated. Students who did excel are now feeling inadequate. Students with previous challenges are being lost. As an educated parent, I am disgusted that our great country would allow an entire generation to become "collateral damage!"

Common Core is ridiculous. We shouldn't be worrying about College in Elementary School. Students who wish to get into College will. We need to stop assuming all students will go to College. We need to start teaching real world skills; this includes some of the most basic skills and not just writing argumentative essays.

Stop fixing what isn't broken and fix what is. The fish stinks from the head down. Let teachers teach the way children learn. To teach problem solving it needs to be everyday life experiences taught through hands on methods backed up by print. These methods being used are to confusing and complicated causing frustration for all. STOP COMMON CORE and SAVE our children's education!
