Who do i need to reach out to in regards to getting rid of CC i am in Nassau County, i have a special needs child with an IEP, that CC is going to destroy him !!!!

The Common core is ridiculous and is putting to much strain on our children. There is no reason for a 2nd grade child to learn algebra (no one does really as its never used in the real world). Also there is no need to make things more complicated then they need to be... All we technically need to succeed in life is to know how to read, write, add, subtract, multiply and divide... that's it. You can live a full life and get a regular decent paying job doing just that. No one uses anything past the 8th grade as far as education, and that's the old form of education, not this new lets see how stressed we can make the kids garbage..
