Common core is frustrating. I, as a college graduate, cannot even grasp the math portion, and to expect my 8 year old to understand it is ridiculous.

THIS COMMON CORE IS RIDICULOUS! ! MY 7TH GRADER WENT FROM AN A STUDENT TO A D/F STUDENT!! NOTHING HAS CHANGED IN HER LIFE! THIS IS TOTALLY THE SCHOOL'S FAULT! WE NEED TO GET RID OF THIS NOW! I WILL BE PULLING MY CHILD OUT OF SCHOOL! I AM IN CHARGE! NOT THE SCHOOL!

Common Core is stressful and not doing any good.These new standards are complicating and making things much more difficult than they need to be. Myself and much more high school students disagree with this system and the way things are being done.

This is just too important to not fight to change this,before we have completely lost our children to socialism, dumbing them down so they don't even know that they have lost all their freedoms because they don't know any better.

I have heard the talk of how common core hurts our children and prevents them from excelling above other students who may not work as hard. It is only now that I am seeing the effects. My child just started second grade and has begin to start adding double digit numbers. The methods taught are absolutely ridiculous and time consuming. There are an absurd number of steps in solving simple problems. I want to advocate against common core so that my children can succeed and be rewarded for hard work. Not stay equal with everyone else.

How can parents even begin to help kids with their homework. We don't even know what Common Core is! So much for getting the parents involved in their children's education.
What about books? Handouts, etc. None of that either.
Let's just figure this out kids. I can only hope you will learn all you need to know in class because I'm of no use to you any more.
Children DO NOT ALL learn the same way. This is one form of education with one set of rules. How about we focus on them and allow them to be individuals? Is that asking too much?
NM schools are struggling and this will simply make things worse.

Common Core is NOT about educating children to be citizens in a free Republic and it is NOT about true education. Please return decisions about our children's education where it belongs - to the state, to the districts and to the families - NOT to the federal government.

I'm 10 and want to go to public school but I'm homeschooled because of common core I miss my friends so I want to stop it
