Stop Common Core. Takes kids much longer to do something that normally only takes minutes to do. They should have to explain how they got the answer not how the school wants them to get the answer.

We moved from Seattle where "Common Core" is rampit to Belle Plaine KS where Common Core hasn't infested children's minds yet.
My child has learned more in her 2 months in Kansas than her 2.3 years in Washington State.
Let's teach our kids to be smart, nit confuse them to be stupid.

I have incoming grandsons that are going to be in the school system within a few years, and I want this junk gone before they begin! They deserve to have better! I don't want to spend my final years telling them they're being lied to.

The Constitution does not give the federal government permission to be involved in education. That is a right of the states and the people. Local school boards should run public schools, because they are elected by the districts constituents. The curricula coming out of Common Core is poorly written and is dumbing down our children.

Eliminate Common Core from Kansas. Pass the version released by the Education Committee as is with NO AMENDMENTS. DO NOT REFER IT BACK TO THE COMMITTEE. The Bill passed out of committee is a GOOD ONE!!!

My three school aged children all have various learning disabilities. Please remove common core and allow them to learn to the best of THEIR abilities.
