Support Local Control of Education in Kansas - Stop Common Core

STOP COMMON CORE NOW!!!

The Federal Government should not be dictating what is to be taught, for it erodes the inititiave of a school board

It is high time the States took back control over their own affairs including the education of our kids. The Federal government should not be able to dictate any part of those decisions, we need to govern ourselves locally.

My highly intelligent 6th grader is now struggling so badly, that he no longer has college aspirations, as he feels "dumb". Common Core is DESTROYING my sons present, and future! This MUST STOP! He begins an IEP tomorrow, which is RIDICULOUS that he has gotten to this point! Stop the dumbing down of our kids, PLEASE!

I support the 10th Amendment of the Constitution. Race to the Top and Common Core are unconstitutional and un-American.

This MUST be stopped! Mom of 3 daughters to raise!

Stop Common Core! Please do your research on what Common Core is & why it needs to be stopped.

Common Core takes away the opportunity for students' individualities to shine. It decimates Constitutional freedoms and obligations. It does not belong in our state.

Common Core is all wrong for Kansas and for every state. It was forced down everyone's throats without being fully researched. Please do what's best for our children and grandchildren and reject Common Core immediately. It's hurting our children and our futures.

I am against continued federal government involvement in our states. Eliminate the dept of education, reduce our taxes. If states want businesses to bring jobs, they will take care of education.

All of Common Core needs to be removed from Kansas Schools.

Remove all of CC from Kansas schools

Keep the decisions about Education in Kansas between the Parents and the Educators.

Please stop common core! We need to go back to teaching children the Constitution and about our American heritage and stop pushing socialism and sex education!

I again want to express my opposition to implementation of The Common Core curriculum in my state, my school district, and my granddaughter's schools. Anyone who take s the time to do their homework will quickly see that this is nothing more than a federal takeover of our educational system. It was never state initiated as it's prop[onents want you to believe. Control of our schools belongs in the hands of the individual states, including testing.

Common Core has caused a lot of stress in our family. We have been forced to home school, which we really don't want to do. We prefer our children in the parochial school. However, the ecclesiatical authority has deemed it in their wisdom to force this abysmall standard on their young flock. Shame on them.

Stop the "one size, fits all". top-down initiative that threatens every student in Kansas.

Lead Kansas out of Common Core this session!!!

Please stop this brainwashing of Kansas children and pushing parents out of the picture.

The data mining, lack of common sense and illusion of rigorous curriculum is of great concern. I am also highly disturbed by the materials being used and the lack of information provided to parents about such practices and information given to children about history that is not consistent with official historical documents.
