Stop Common Core in Illinois

How do we convince people that this program is an attack on our youth. Its a baseball bat to the legs in terms of their education. We need to throw that away and give power back to the teachers so they can mold to our children and teach proficiently.

Stop trying to DUMB our children down. Why do you get some much money to teacher this BS. Math is math and not this BS so stop trying to manipulate the children's minds. Math is the real form of learning Thank you in advance Myra L Ellis

I have watched my son struggle with math since they have went to common core. It breaks my heart... my daughter who has a BS in Finance and Accounting can not even help him with the way they expect it to be taught. It is time we start standing up for our kids instead of failing them.

I am an educator who owns a learning center. I'm suppose to financially benefit from the struggle of kids in school. But my heart bleeds from the impact of Common Core Math on students. What a disgrace! Instead of enticing children to think critically, CC Math is confusing and slowing them down. Where is the competitive edge they were promised!

Schools should be screen free, use practical application, and more hands-on learning. See Montessori schools for a good example.

Stop Comon Core! Even if you don't have kids. I bet this is a nightmare for at least 3 of your friend's children.
