This Meridian Grandma is against. Common core. It is and will continue to make our kids uneducated.

Ada County- Learning is Fun! Learning is exciting! Learning allows more opportunity for freedom and growth! Watch the eyes & face on an excited child that is involved in a project he wants to do. He learns quickly. He is happy. He is anxious to show and share his new knowledge. Watch the child who is shut down, disappointed, and unmotivated. He finds that he cannot continue. Maybe he has outside barriers to hinder him, is faced with a poorly thought out assignment, or lack the tools needed to succeed. Is the problem impossible time constraints?.. ill conceived goals?.. no medium for self-expression?.. forced learning of irrelevant ideas? Such conditions eventually create a rebellious, indifferent, unmotivated, unengaged, or "dumb" student. Freedom & independence is the seedbed of success! The best brains in Washington or the United Nations can not come close to what the down-home, independent, & dedicated parents & educators can do for our own children & students! Let us make the standards & tests & we will have the brightest minds of the nation! All children will be accommodated.

Please listen, We do not want this taught in our schools. I will pull my kids out of public school if it continues.

Although I've never been involved in politics, I believe this issue is so critical to preserving our nation, that I'm going to step way out of my comfort zone and stand up for freedom.

I would like to invite all of you to visit ParentalRights.org. Watch the movie, decide for yourself, and then if you feel it is right, sign the petition and share the information. Our parental rights are being encroached upon, with Common Core and in many other ways, and we need to band together peacefully and stop it.

Stop the Common Core Program. I don't feel like it is teaching our children as well as the old programs did. They make things more complicated than they need to be.

I'm in Bonneville County; our kids deserve better than Common Core. Please do all you can to remove our students from this seriously flawed scheme, return education to local control and funding, and lead the way in *actual* innovation in education for Idaho students! Act to preserve educational liberty in our state.

As a Idaho mother who cares very much about her Childrens education I feel that Common Core will only hurt and not help Idaho school children.

I am in Twin Falls County. I am against every part of common core. It must be stopped.

My children have gone from liking math to failing in no time flat even with a tutor!
