I strongly oppose this approach to educating our children and strongly support the rescinding of any and all legislation connected to Common Core.

At BEST, Common Core is more of the same. The real problem is the system itself. It does not allow teachers to actually teach with the passions they went into the education system for in the first place. The education system is overrun with red-tape, rules and unions.

When Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards teach our children subjects that touch on origins (of life or the universe) it is from an evolutionary religious viewpoint. This is unconstitutional. Our children need to understand a variety of viewpoints. If you want to see this corrected, go to http://www.copeinc.org/test1 and support COPE's efforts.

Common Core is an education plan out of the United Nations to indoctrinate children on global citizenry, it has nothing to do with raising any standard of education. Idaho must stop the implementation.

Amazing how Common Core was passed with very little media coverage. The general public has no idea what it entails.

Get us out of Common Core. We the people do not want this it. Get the Fed out of our lives and state. The Govenor and Luna crammed this down our throats. The Feds should NOT be in charge of Education. This is progressive communism.

I liken the taking of money for Common Core to Judas taking 30 Pieces of Silver to reveal Jesus' whereabouts. Remorseful, but too late. Is that what our situation will be? No freedom and no where to go?

I am an education administrator and hate Common Core. There is no local control at all. We are told what to do and the paperwork is horrendous that has to be filled out and kept on each student. I can't believe Idaho fell for this facade. Aren't we one of the few "conservative" states? I am very disgusted by our political leaders not stopping this before it got off the ground.

Communist Core Idaho is a combination of the old failed Soviet Poly-tech system and the German Gymnasium system. Both designed for "workforce training." NOT EDUCATION! One of the bigger co-conspiritors in Idaho is the "Don't Fail Idaho" bunch. They like to use skewed statistics of counting the lower expectations of the culture of the illegal invasion force to purposely dumb down Idaho education to the lowest common denominator ie, "workforce training."

Common Core demotes American values, undermines constitutional principles, advances a globalist worldview at the expense of freedom. The collaboration of the Gates Foundation and UNESCO. Curriculum will be aligned with Assessments. Local control will be gone. The goal is not academic excellence, but to construct an educational model aimed at "workforce ready" workers who share a globalistic vision.

As an educator and a parent, I strongly object to the Common Core Curriculum. I have researched it and firmly believe it will have a very detrimental effect on education in Idaho. Should the Governor and legislature choose to keep this program, I will not be able to, in good conscious, continue to support them politically.

Kootenai County. We should strive to increase standards for students, not lower them. That seems to be what is wrong with the entire country these days.

They had just implemented this in my daughters school and are already testing kindergartners. I am so irritated about how she hasn't learned anything since being in school and her education has gone down the hill. Some of us parents have two work and go to college ourselves. This is completely crazy.

Frustrated for my children. My daughter is failing high school algebra and no one seems to care!
