Bonneville county. We do NOT want Common Core in our school system, it is NOT in our children's best interests. Keep education at the local level, where it belongs!

Common Core will not make my children ready to participate in the world. The math "standards" are entirely subpar and the English "standards" forbid any literature that might impart imagination, wonder, and virtue to our youth. Get Common Core out of AMERICA!!

The basic need of our children is to learn to learn and love to learn. The education system has been lost for awhile and this just puts it over the edge.
Our teachers are stretched beyond all reasonable capabilities and dealing with pressure from all sides.
Have the decision makers spent time in a classroom lately? I have. These kids are STRESSED out about these tests.
They need to run and play, learn to read, socialize, and accept responsibility that is age appropriate.
These standards do none of it.
Please stop trying to create generations of kids who cannot think for themselves and are already wary of the world.
Give education back to the individual schools.. they know their "demographic" better than you ever will.

I support these requests, especially 1-3 & 6. I feel our state government has sold our children down the river. I'm against the SBAC testing and the over testing of it, not to mention data collection. I want our schools to gain local control again. I've watched these Federal programs/ mandates ruin creativity and real learning in the classroom. Our children are not robots!
