Common core takes away the freedom that are children are given by birthright. To be creative and learn in their own way.

I feel like this system for learning is not helping us as students reach our full potential. As a student, I do not support this change.

Bingham County, My daughter went to school today in absolute tears over this testing. She was home sick for one week (during original testing) and now has to return to school this morning with severe anxiety over this testing. My hands feel tied because when she is under her doctors care for illness, I receive letters from the school about "attendance" so what do you do when it comes to these tests and keeping your child home because these letters I receive in the mail make you feel like a criminal if your child misses any school and the wording in these letters are uncalled for. I'm fed up with "Bureaucrats" trying to run our lives and trying to tell us how to raise our children.

I have opted both of my children out of SBAC and ISAT, now I have received a letter stating that if my child is enrolled in Nampa School District that they WILL be taking the test. Does this mean I need to UN enroll my child just so they do not take this test?

I don't want government control of my children, these are my children. We should have the rights to opt out our children.

Common Core is the worst thing that could have happened for our children. The motto on TV has said 'Don't fail Idaho'- but common core is already sending grades and self esteem plummeting among high school students-this is proven and documented; thus the skyrocketing numbers of children being home-schooled. Common core has set our children up to fail miserably. Tom Luna has said 'expect our kids to fail at first and not make the test scores but this is part of change.' What about those particular children who will suffer from this-the guinea pigs so to speak-this affects their chances of college, etc. I don't think our children should be collateral damage.

Please keep our state's educational sovereignty. Please do not allow my child's personal information to be given to anyone outside the state of Idaho.
