I have a graduate degree, I am an accountant who has been a CFO for several large nonprofit agencies in California. I have watched my son looking at me trying to make sense of why he is being asked ridiculous questions or to answer the reason why standards of mathematics are what they are. The tests have created children that are doubting their knowledge. The reasons why common core standards have been introduced are nonsensical, those of us who have an education and have earned their lives in real applications of what we have studied, know that the "real applications' that the Common Core tried to teach are convoluted and unnecessary. We live in Kootenai County.

i was a proctor with this test last year. I was mortified with it. It is morally wrong for anyone to take this test, let alone children. It needs to be aliminated!

This plan will change education completely, and take away all privacy of the children and families. Instead of Learning, all their time will be spent preparing for the testing. This will lead to intrusion into the lives of the students, pressure on the kids to meet federal "standards" rather than prepare them for the future. California came up with a similar program called SIM Cam, once adopted the dropout rate crippled. The kids were no longer taught, but given the assignments and instructed to teach themselves. Keep the pressure on the Legislature to abolish this plan, a whole generation could be literally uneducated.
