Stop Co-Location of Charter Schools On Short Avenue Elementary Campus

We need to unite our strength to fight this together. It will not be easy. It will probably take us years to change prop. 39. But we must keep it up as Martin Luther King Jr. and Cesar Chavez did. "Si se puede."

My family will be forever thankful to Short Ave ES. My older son benefited from the Early Intervention program there, receiving speech & occupational therapy right there on campus. The special services that changed his life will not be available to other children who need them if Citizens of the World co locate at Short Avenue. CWC parents- please stay true to your name and stay away from all the wonderful neighborhood schools you are circling.

There's no room for co-location at Grand View, Short or Palms Elementary. Find locations that are truly empty.

Short Avenue is a wonderful school and I wouldnt want it to be over crowded or lose any of its great programs.

our neighborhood is already too crowded. LAUSD must solve their charter problem without putting undo stress on already under-resourced schools, as well as neighborhoods, residents and homeowners

This will be my neighborhood school when my son is old enough to attend. I do not support the doubling of students at the school and increased traffic while taking space for key learning and creative space for our LAUSD kids.

The thought of doubling attendence at a school and raising it well above the stated capacity is mind boggling. This area is already suffering from major traffic congestion as a result of Silicon Beach and Playa Vista. This is a bad idea.

Perhaps you at CWC could do the work necessary to find your own facility instead of scavenging off of others' sacrifice and hard work.

We love our district school, I grew up it.

Charters have no regulations & cannot coexist with public schools in the same space. Keep charters out of our schools!

I taught at a school that had 1800 kids, way over the capacity of 600. It was a mess with tiered lunches and recesses. There was a constant din. Not good to crowd a campus.
