I do not want shift NC to be taught in the schools that my children and grandchildren are taught in. If you want to express your sexual preference teach it at home. Pregnancy is not the problem immorality is! Especially teen pregnancy in a place full of young married military families!!

It is the role and responsibility of every child's parent/parents to educate their child regarding sexuality. It is NOT the role of the government. The government funds planned parenthood, and that has not stopped unwanted pregnancies. This is supposed to be a democracy, but every day it takes on more characteristics of a police state. This is not in the best interest of first our children, next our families, then our state, and finally our government. STOP giving parents an excuse to abdicate their responsibility. I am a retired M.Ed. Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who worked for years counseling children TRAUMATIZED by sexual abuse. Next thing we know our government will tell us pedophilia is a normal sexual expression.

It's one thing to be tolerant and loving toward sinful people because we're all sinful people and need tolerance and love. But, it's quite another thing to allow and encourage sinful agendas to be pushed on our children in what's supposed to be an educational environment. Put a stop to this now.

If and when I feel it is time to talk to my daughter about having sex or any other sexual information that needs to be given, I want to so it in the way I see fit. I do not want SHIFTS innuendo shoved down her throat. It is a parents place to teach our children not this program, the school or anyone else!!!
