Stop CareDash and BetterHelp's Duplicitous Practice

CareDash has gathered information about thousands of LCSWs and other healthcare providers without their permission or knowledge. They then falsely market the services of these unaffiliated clinicians to direct potential patients to their own clinicians, BetterHelp providers, or other CareDash affiliated organizations. This is a restriction of trade that should be stopped immediately. Urge CareDash to cease this duplicitous practice. CSWA encourages all affected parties to file complaints with the appropriate state and/or national organizations.

This is outrageous!

It's a little too late for correction in errors from CareDash and Betterhelp. I and among other countless numbers of LCSW have have lost their businesses and self-employment to other possibly unlicensed individuals who have placed many vulnerable clients at risk and danger of their mental health status.

CareDash is misleading consumers by implying that ALL health professionals on there website can be accessed through them, when in actuality they are pushing consumers only to providers/companies that have partnered with them.

Payment rates by Betterhelp and Teledoc are dismal and not competitive with Medicare and insurance company rates.

Caredash is harming vulnerable populations, as well as the livelihood and reputation of mental health professionals, under the guise of the FOIA and an obligation to share unapproved, erroneous and defamatory provider profiles. The FOIA was intended to protect consumers, not to be twisted for CareDash and Better Helps own financial gain. This practice is unethical, unprofessional, dubious, harmful and must stop.

Erroneous information about my psychotherapy practice is on a listing that I did not ask for that could be damaging to my professional reputation.

Absolute abuse of the intent of FOIA. I refuse to “claim” a profile I never agreed to & it is clear this information is being used to funnel clients to BetterHelp as evidenced by the website itself! CLASS ACTION ASAP!

They would not allow me to update their links to my own website and scheduler, even when I requested to claim my profile, effectively using my name and brand to promote Better Help. Unacceptable.

Stop care dash from using NPI information and blocking or taking kickbacks and from selling information to other people like better help.

CareDash and BetterHelp are promoting themselves by using therapist's names and info without our permission. Even worse, they then refuse to let us opt out from them posting our names and info. on the CareDash website.

I’m a licensed clinical professional counselor and care dash posted my personal information and a false review. It is harming my business.

I discovered my business name on the CareDash list with information from a job I had 12 years ago. This is misinforming potential clients and causing unnecessary frustration for those looking for care who were specifically referred to me. I am not interested in being part of the CareDash directory and find their offer to correct my information to be disingenuous as my participation in their directory would not then be voluntary. I refuse to give them any more information than they already have. In addition, private practice therapists spend time and money marketing our own practices and CareDash is attempting to siphon away people who are seeking care from experienced professionals. Please act on behalf of all LCSWs and their potential clients who are impacted by this.

I find it very telling of their intentions that they chose not to pull the actual contact information of providers which is also available on NPI. I hope a class action lawsuit is brought up as they are misrepresenting our availability and jeopardizing our integrity! Also, publishing our addresses is very dangerous given our clientele.

It is a shame that CareDash and Better Help are using this tactic to exploit a very vulnerable population. I believe a class action suit should be brought against them. Shelby McCartney LICSW

They are taking advantage of people who are often in a most vulnerable state of mind to line their own pockets. It is the worst form of bait & switch and that they are hiding behind a ruse that they are helping people adds insult to injury. Please use any legal means necessary to halt this completely unethical use of my personal/professional information to prey on unsuspecting people.

if they gave a way to link back to our own sites and chosen listings this would do no harm. but they detour the client onto someone else and thus profit from my reputation to enrich their own pockets.

I'm and LPC and and experiencing the same issue with CardDash and Betterhelp. I'm happy to help how I can to stops this despicable behavior.

This is grounds for class action lawsuit. You are using our info to MAKE MONEY by redirecting customers to better help, etc. This practice needs to stop IMMEDIATELY. Providers need to have a choice and need to be paid to participate on your platform.
