What is the point of designating an area of National Beauty to somewhere if Money comes rattling along and the countryside and its local people are ignored? This is absolutely diabolical, totally unacceptable, and pure greed. Surely the point of an AONB is to protect a beautiful environment. We are supposed to be getting more educated with regard to the importance of our wildlife, trees and hedgerows...or is it OK so long as loadsa dosh is involved to ignore all that?

This has got to stop, Croyde is a beautiful village and in the three years since I moved to north Devon these houses are cropping up everywhere, good luck

So many holiday homes & second houses in Croyde & Georgeham, there is no need to build more. Holiday parks are big enough, the local roads cant cope now!

Yet more holiday housing will destroy the very reasons why people come to visit such a highly protected area, and will result in more traffic chaos and problems for businesses who won't be able to source local staff who can no longer afford to live here.

Unnecessary unwanted building squeezed in on an inappropriate site. It will affect traffic & the local infrastructure. I have also objected via the local planning dept as that will probably get noticed more .

What the area needs is affordable housing, not more second homes. We are pricing locals out of the market and eventually lovely Devon villages such as croyde and Georgeham will become ghost towns in the winter months. Enough is enough!

Please don’t spoil beautiful Croyde anymore. The whole area is totally saturated and can’t cope with any further development.

I am devastated to see a place I love erode away like this, the fields and meadows full of flowers and hedgerows for birds, bees and other wildlife are disappearing at a huge cost to nature and areas of natural beauty …. Please stop this happening before it is too late!

Croyde is a village, but it’s not even possible for our children to be able to afford to live here as all the houses are being bought or developed for second homes by people who have no interest in the community

Keep Croyde & it’s surrounding areas beautiful & green. It’s a gorgeous place to live & a stunning holiday destination, but it can barely fit in the visitors it already has!

Croyde is being destroyed as we watch! I have seen detrimental changes in the 15 years I’ve lived here! It’s being spoilt by greed and over development...

It’s important to respond to the planning application. It might also be interesting to know if the land owners for these type of applications are local to the parish and see if local land owners can to aligned to the wishes of the Parish to not continue to build in this way. The local infrastructure can’t cope with the volumes of people in the summer currently and needs addressing as well.
