STOP Building on the Green Fields of Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty

Croyde's environment and community is being destroyed by overdevelopment. Wealthy developers are ruining what people love about this area. Enough is enough, its time o change the rules!

With climate change proving it’s having an impact, our green spaces and wildlife are the key to helping us survive, so let’s preserve what we have left!! Let’s try having a 90% occupancy in the existing properties too to help keep the local economy alive.

Not at all needed, especially on a green field site.

The same applies to Georgeham and surrounding hamlets. Protect them.

Please do not ruin yet another green space in beautiful Croyde. The last 24 years (my mum and grandparents the last 54+ years) I have spent every summer looking over this field, watching the sunset, hearing the animals and admiring the mesmerising wildlife. The thought of that all going and looking over houses/development saddens me immensely. Please stop this from happening.

Agree, save croyde for what local need and visitors come to enjoy

No more holiday/second homes for crowded please. It is unsustainable on all levels and is ruining the village and surrounding areas.

Please stop this AONB being lost forever and save it to remain the beautiful coastal village it is for our future generations. This side of the village is peaceful, green and full of wildlife, please do not ruin it forever with this development!!

this is a subject that makes my blood boil...it is yet more pandering to greed. Make it illegal to own second homes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Croyde is naturally beautiful a haven for wildlife and we want it to stay that way.!

We are losing agricultural land, flora and fauna. The societal trend is more people are leaving the village than moving in. Holiday houses are now having a detrimental effect on the village and area in general.

the infrastructure of Croyde was never designed for large scale building.

Protect our AONB areas against development of second homes

Local housing for local people should be the president not development for holiday let.

Enough is enough Croyde is already over crowed and over developed as it is and basic infrastructure is already massively impacted over the summer months not to mention the traffic without further developing green space for over priced housing that will sit empty for 4/5months of the year and be bought for holiday home/second home use. Croyde cannot cope and has already completely lost its small village community it once possessed many years ago

Indeed, what is the point of an AONB if not to stop development like this….? Natural England who regulates AONBs should be all over this….
