Stop building on green belt land in Queensbury

There is plenty of other land in Bradford that is not green belt.

There are better alternatives for new housing than greenbelt land.

The village has not got the facilities or schools to cater for further house building.

The inferstructure is full all ready and there's way too much traffic

Local infrastructure is not sufficient; loss of green belt land; poor drainage and sewerage would impact on surrounding houses.

The green belt areas here are there reason we moved to Queensbury

I don't agree with building on the greenbelt

The Greenbelt is essential for wildlife and maintaining clean air. It is an area used by walkers (especially since Covid) and the area cannot safely sustain further traffic. Access to both main roads (Brighouse/Denholme and Halifax Road) is congested with the present level of traffic

As well as cherishing our green belt land, I live at the bottom end of Fleet Lane and it is already extremely busy with traffic on what should be a quiet side road. This is likely to make this much worse

I would suggest that enough houses have been built here in recent times. We should be protect what green we have left.

It's totally unacceptable to build any houses on green belt and in Queensbury. The village does not have the infrastructure to support any further building including, doctors surgeries, schools etc. The village is congested enough.

I cannot believe there isn't anywhere else to build new houses other than green belt land. There must be old industrial areas that would benefit from regeneration! Let's keep England 'a green and pleasant land'!

I am especially concerned about building on green belt land. Once gone to housing it can never be given back. Site SW/096 - a small wooded area between Littlemoor and Highgate Rd, Queensbury is of particular concern. It is a haven for nature and bats are regularly seen there. Think VERY carefully before allowing development to go ahead.

Queensbury is already too busy, with traffic at peaks times through the village being very busy and causing long delays, primary schools having long waiting lists, difficulties getting a doctor's appointment and getting into a local dentist now bring impossible n(I go to Bingley to see a dentist).

Queensbury does not need more housing. It is wrong to build on green belt land.

There are other and better places to build on

Stop building on Greenbelt. There is no planet B.

I would like to add my objection to building houses on designated green belt land in Queensbury. A recent application to build houses on plot SW/022 was rejected due to the negative impact on the surrounding area. Plots SW/022 and SW023 have restricted access and building additional houses will ultimately result in a bottleneck and safety risk for existing residents and children at Stocks Lane School. The existing services cannot cope with more houses.

Green belt land is what keeps this country beautiful and sustains healthy living. There's plenty of other methods that can be used to create affordable housing.
