I can't believe that in a generation as "educated" as this one still thinks a particular breed is dangerous. This bylaw is ridiculous and does not take into account the behavior of the dog.

Please drop this breed specific law and go after bad owners instead of a dog breed. This is an outdated and unfounded law and it's time to put it in the trash where it should be.Obviously this dog is gentle and loving. SHAME ON THIS LAW AND THE ENFORCEMENT OF IT.

This is stupid. No dog should have to leave their family. Especially if they have no bite/aggression history!

There is no need for BSL. Studies have proven that dogs of Staffordshire descent (commonly known as pit bulls) score higher in temperament tests than Yellow Labs. More emphasis needs to be placed on the owner’s responsibility to raise a well behaved, safe dog - the breed does not dictate a dog being “unsafe”.

I am not a current dog owner, however I still know all dogs have the potential to bite. Yes, some bites by some breeds can be more severe. That should not dictate that these breeds are forbidden. Why not something more meaningful such as passing an obedience test of sorts and/or mandatory obedience classes for younger dogs/pups. Humans are capable of murder, why don't you get rid of all of them, just in case....

Absolute and utter foolishness that this even needs to happen... I hope this county comes to it's senses and gets rid of this ridiculous "law" or whatever it is!

I honestly can’t believe that the county I grew up in and love has adopted such a terrible by law. All dogs have the potential to attack. Please reconsider this by law!

No breed should be deemed dangerous, taking a 9 year old dog away from their family is wrong.

This is ridiculous. A dog should not be discriminated against because of the breed. A dog is not dangerous because of the breed, it's all about how the owner raises them.

Come on guys. It's 2018. We're far to good to be this petty. You cannot ban something or take something away because you're worried it may happen. "Worrying doesn't take away tomorrow's troubles, it takes away today's peace." -someone wise someday, somewhere

Taking away a dog for no reason is wrong. Lap dogs are meaner than large dogs.
