End this fear-based, discriminatory legislation! Laws should be based on evidence and statistics!

There are enough dogs in the world that do not have loving families. This Dog is lucky enough to have that, and is now being taken away and put into an already stressed system of dogs who need home. How painful for this family to see this happen to their dog who has showed no issues with aggression. Shame on the county. My heart is with the family and their dog.

BSL has got to go. If an animal has shown to be aggressive then they should be required to wear a muzzle when in the public. But to can all of these is just without merit. And to give such a short notice to rehome a beloved family pet of 9 years is shameful.

Just like people, animals shouldn't be judged based on their breed. This bylaw is disgraceful, and absolutely should not be allowed! After 9 years this dog is a member of the family, and should be treated as such.

As a resident of Antigonish county, I am shocked that these dated stereotypes are still at work so close to home. This is unacceptable, and anyone who has taken the time to look at the research will see that it has no basis either.

There is no evidence that BSL has ever decreased dog bites. It only breaks a part families and hearts.
