Ive been around pitbulls my whole life. They are so super strong (humans bred them to be that way) but they are the most loyal, loving and gentle dogs I've ever known. BSL is a BS way to deal with the issue of bad owners and the occasional bad dog. BSL is pure ignorance.

I disagree whole heartily with breed discrimination. There are no "bad" breeds only bad owners. This is a 9 year old dog and should not be made to leave his family. In this day and age unless a dog is proven to be dangerous by its agressivness (and that is all breeds) it should not have to be removed because of some antiquated bylaw!

Implementing dangerous dog bylaws that hold ALL dog owners accountable is the only way to have fair legislation. To deny a family their pet that has NOT offended in 9 years of ownership is CRUEL and without merit. ENOUGH - it is time for Guysborough to come out the the darkeness!
