You can not judge an entire breed by something that is happened , the same as we don’t judge all of a race by an act of one.

I have owned several Rottweilers and have sold 55 puppies in the past; I do not agree with the by-law - do not be fooled by "fake News stories" please amend this law

BSL is ideological fear mongering, not based on science. Quebec has just backed away from BSL, in light of its finding that it is arbitrary and cannot properly be enforced. Dangerous dogs are dogs that actually pose a threat to humans and other animals, not ones who have particular a DNA makeup. Please repeal this bylaw and allow Chico to remain with his family.

The fear mongering of dog breeds has to stop, it is 100% on the owners on how a dog behaves, given the proper attention/training and knowledge of your companion, they can grow to be the kindest and sweetest animals around. It's due time that poor owners are the ones to blame for any animal that is aggressive, and in these cases they should be properly investigated case by case.

Unreal this is a bylaw in Nova Scotia. They even turned over the one in Montreal!! Guarantee this discriminatory bylaw would not stand up to a court challenge. Dispicable

Breed legislation is absolutely ridiculous and should not be allowed. These breeds are not dangerous by nature, but because of how powerful they are bad people buy them and train the dogs to do bad things. There is no such thing as a dangerous, irresponsible dog, only dangerous and irresponsible owners.

It’s absolutely disgusting any area would try & take a families pet away because of the ignorance on animals. Specially when there’s so many abused & homeless animals around. I don’t & wont support any type of breed banning. Let the family kept their family member & time to get rid of bsl

I whole-heartedly disagree with this. Any dog can attack. Responsible pet ownership is key. Training should be required for anyone owning these breeds as they do require special attention but they can be loving, loyal and very safe family pets.

I agree people need to be responsible with their animals but I also believe it's not the breed of dog. I have met many dogs of the "bully" breed and have NEVER had an issue with them and have had my children with them all have beem very friendly and loveable i also own an amstaff and a rottweiler for 9 years and have never had an issue not even once they're around cats chickens lizards and young children and are nothing but loving! It's not the breed it's the owner and breed has the potential to be mean...have you met a Chihuahua?
