I have a Rottweiler! Kindest dog ever! She would never hurt somebody! There is NO such thing as a bad dog, only a bad owner!

This law is a bunch of crap. A poodle could attack someone and no one says a thing.

This is a ridiculous bylaw!! All dogs could have the potential to be dangerous! And are you going to have a bylaw on humans next? They could be potentially dangerous

I just lost my 9 year old Rottie 2 weeks ago. He was friendly and gentle and loyal - a treasured member of our family. I could not imagine being told we were no longer allowed to have him in our home because of a BYLAW.

All breeds are wonderful. This is crazy. Dogs are family members.

Honestly, a 9 year old dog that has absolutely no history of any form of aggression. You do more LASTING emotional harm to the dog and his human family than this dog will ever do to anyone. This is abhorrent.

This is a very unfair bylaw. It is about how a dog is raised and trained, not the breed! What you need is bylaws to enforce responsible dog ownership. Let's stop punishing certain breeds please.

As a tax payer and land owner in Guysborough County I find this shameful. A dog's breed does not determine the personality of a dog, owners do.

I do not agree with your breed bylaw. It is the responsibility of the pet owner to ensure their dog is trained, safe and a valuable member of the pet community. Allow families to keep their pets but ensure that responsible pet ownership is enforced and opportunities made available to provide this for families who are tax payers in your community.

Please amend the current bylaw in Guysborough banning certain breeds of dogs. Perhaps a better solution would be enforcing more responsible ownership?

I have owned a pit-masstive for 16 years and until the day we laid him to rest he never once bit or even tried to bite a single person. I would have another like him any time.

A town should not be able to restrict a homeowners family
