People who are unable to train their dog is who to ban. Dogs who have been living in a happy home and received training from their human and became obedient dogs don't deserve to be banned. My neighbor got a shih-tsu that is mean as hell and would lunge to people on the road and I know some people whose got pit bulls that are like babies

There is no such thing as a fierce and dangerous breed. It is nothing but a made up term used by those who fear certain breeds due to their lack of education in reference to those breeds. This dog is 9 years old and at best has maybe 3 to 4 years left in this world. He has shown no signs of aggression during those 9 years and I find it both heartless and ridiculous that you now wish to remove him from the loving home he has known for most of his life. I am a professional dog trainer and I have trained all breeds over the years. I have not once been bitten by any of the "Fierce and Dangerous" breeds mentioned in your bylaw and with most problem dogs, I found the problem to be with the owner and not the dog. Every dog is an individual with an individual personality/temperament and should be evaluated as an individual and not as a breed. It has been proven over and over again that BSL does not work. It did not take long for Montreal to figure that out recently. I suggest you get further input from PROFESSIONALS before carrying out this unfounded sentence of cruelty.

Absolutely ridiculous. These bylaws are made by naive, uneducated people. ALL dogs are a product of the environment they are raised in, not their breed. Wake up.

Breed specific legislation is so barbaric. I would hope we could move past the time of discriminating any creature based on their breeding.

This absolutely discusts me. It’s about the owner not the animal. This poor family being forced to rehome their family member is unfathamable

Breed banning should never be allowed. This dog needs to stay with his family.

BSL is total crap. I have a pittie mix and she's the most sweet, gentle, lovable girl you ever met! I can't believe we have this in parts of NS!

The legislation is awful enough, but to take a happy well adjusted dog away from it's family is NOT PROTECTING ANYONE
