I am a proud canadian from nova scotia lived my whole i raise my family an have considered buying a house in guysbrough and I could not consider leaving youngest son behind because he doesnt fit your discription of being a "good" dog, since he is an American Staffordshire terrier

I live not far from guysborough and am completely disgusted by the way they are choosing to handle this situation. I could not be more dissappointed with the so called laws and the people that uphold them.

Utterly shameful. This is not a dog with evidence of aggression; this is a 9 year old family pet. The bylaw is draconian but then so too is the timeline provided - granting a family a few days on a national long weekend to get rid of their pet, is inhumane beyond reason. Who are these people and where have they put those with basic integrity?

This is rediculous! It's not the breed it's stupid owners giving these poor dogs a bad rep. Not all staffs are bad :(

Taking this family’s dog from them is unjust. Dogs are family members the same as children are ~ would you ask a family to “re-home “ their child? The ignorance surrounding this legislation is shameful and heartbreaking for dog lovers everywhere.

No dog breed is more vicious than another. Re-homing a dog after 9 years is no better or different than the US separating families at the border.
