DOGS THAT ARE BROUGHT UP IN A LOVING HOME, ARE THE BEST. DON'T JUDGE ALL DOGS, ON ONE OR TWO THAT BITE. MOST BITES ARE FROM PEOPLE WHO HURT THE DOGS AND THEY FIGHT BACK. IT'S NOT THEIR FAULT. IF SOMEONE HURT YOU, WOULDN'T YOU DO SOMETHING BACK?

This bylaw is prejudiced and based solely on ignorance.

A dog is part of the family. Its like they asking then to give away there children in 4 days or they would take the child. How is that make any sens to any human being??

All dogs have the ability to bite, this is a stupid law that needs to be removed from the books.

Must be a boring week for the municipality for digging this up. Why wait 9 years to do something about this specific dog when it has never attacked anyone? There are lots of other things you could worry about rather than this harmless dog who is well loved and taken care of. Or do something about the dogs that roam free in canso and attack other dogs on their own property, that seems like more of a problem!

Review the stats. BSL doesn’t work and is being removed:

It’s like racism in humans. No one should be bullied, judged or punished unless they do something wrong! Certainly not because of the way they look or their DNA!

Amstaffs are not the only dog that bites, all dogs have the potential to bite including labs. BSL had been proven not to work in other places and will not work here. You are trying to remove a family dog with no bite history, this is absurd. There are already laws to deal with dangerous dogs therefore BSL is not needed, just enforce those laws.

One should not judge others by the actions of one. Of these dogs are raised by loving families they will inturn give back the same.

The best dog I ever owned was an Amstaff. He was kind, gentle and I trusted him explicitly. Anyone could take a bone from him. He was loyal and loving.

I hope this community realizes how ridiculous this is and shame on whoever reported the dog who is being removed from his family!

Breed Specific Legislation is not an answer to the problem of irresponsible dog ownership. You punish a very loving breed by the actions of a few careless owners.
