Any dog has the potential to bite. Update outdated legislation

It does not make sense to kill a loving pet due to breed.

This is disgusting and appalling that people are still doing this in 2018. Pitbulls are amazing companions and members of the family!!

This is ridiculous. To outcast an innocent dog because of its breed?!?!?! Give me a break. Isn’t there something more we can do. Like rescue poor dogs from monster owners who abuse and neglect them? That is the real crime. Leave this poor family member with his family. He is beautiful and well loved. That’s all we want for these precious babies.

So embarrassed that a Nova Scotian town would take away a family pet that has never shown any signs of aggression simply due to its genetic makeup. I’ll never step foot in Guysborough as long as I live because of this ridiculous by law and will surely never spend one dollar in that pathetic town. Do your homework Guysborough. Breed specific legislation doesn’t work.

I don't believe dogs should be banned or removed from their families based of actions of other dogs of the same breed. It's racism really.

It’s not the breed that makes them violent, it’s the people around them.

BSL is disgusting and heartless. I find it gut wrenching you would give a family less than 1 week to rehome their family dog, whom in no way is a danger to anyone in the community just because of his breed. sickening this is happening in a province I was proud to call home

Not right. Pets are family. The person writing this letter or who made the letter is a damn pitbull themselves and can leave that county.

This is bull s#@t. They let pedophiles live among us and theyve attacked kids and scarred them for life. If a dog does not attack anyone let it live in peace with its owners

As a previous Rottweiler owner and a current American staff owner I cannot believe such legislation has been passed in Nova Scotia with proof in many legislations that have passed BSL and failed so many times and proven that it is not the breed but the owner , I have met wiener dogs more temperamental than my big sooks, such laws are disappointing to think our legislators can be so small minded and biased!
