If this 9 year old dog hasn't harmed anything or anyone before it's absolutely absurd to make this family "rehome" their family member . I would move out of the district before I rehomed my loved one. We let murderers and petifiles live in our communities but we have to rehome our pets. Wow . Good luck I hope this bylaw gets resolved.

Being a Veterinary technician I can vouch for so many Pitbulls. I look forward to seeing pitbulls because they are one of the sweetest, and happy dog breeds I deal with on a daily basis and seeing things like this make me so angry. You guys 100% have my vote against this bs

This is so wrong. Dogs are family.

Shame on the County, Shame on the Province and shame on the low life who reported them. I would trust my neighbours pitbull before I trusted my parents Pomeranian around my kid.. it's not breed specific.. I have a German Shepherd.. It was only a short time ago they were labeled as the bad guy and now no one thinks twice.

This is a ridiculous bylaw and needs to be changed immediately. Many places in Canada have already reversed this archaic law. Stop hurting families by taking their beloved pets from their children. CHANGE THIS ARCHAIC BYLAW IMMEDIATELY!!

Every dog deserves a chance, a name doesn't make a bad dog, people do.

This is simply archaic. It's 2018 not 1818. Let them keep their dog!

So glad to see all these signatures! I wanna see this ban lifted ! No fur parent should have to fear that their beloved pup will be taken from them based on the breed!

This ban is ridiculous and should be overturned.

WTH is wrong with these people, trying to justify their job looking up stupid by-laws to enforce on the public. How do they sleep at night?

When is this stupidity going to end? Look at the age of this dog for God sake. You say quite clearly in this letter that this dog has never had an issue so leave it and this family the hell alone!! Get off your high horse and read all dog bite statistics!!!! Oh wait....they don't report those ones do they???? Get out of the dark ages folks and join the real world where families have loving pets that have been trained to be just that!!! They are beloved family members!!!! Leave them alone!!!!

This dog is and has been their family for many years, have never had any issues with being vicious. Leave the dogs alone. Its not the BREED

I have been a proud grand mother of my rottie grand dogs for over 20 years and I can tell you they are the kindest loving dogs you will ever meet. You need to get rid of your by laws against dogs! By laws are for the miserable owners who miss treat their dogs

As a dog groomer and someone with education in dog training.. this is ridiculous. The lack of education is mind blowing.

This is an old and archaic law. Not all bully breed dogs are bad. This dog had lived fpr 9 years in the area. No need to remove ot. What has it done. People need to educate themselves properly and not judge based on things they hear. Guysborough should be ashamed
