Banning a breed will never solve the problem of irresponsible dog owners. I’ve had 2 pit bulls and 2 Rottweilers. All amazing, loving, kind animals.

Those dogs are as gentle as babies. Fear should be directed towards the humans.

More concern should be placed on abusive pet owners and not the responsable ones.

Unfair, uneducated and unethical. BSL has been proven to not work.

Like children, any pet is a product of upbringing. Assigning restrictions to a breed is wrong!

9years and no problems? Let's not make a problem. This is cruel to the dog and the family.

Breed specific laws are completely uninformed and ridiculous. The onus should be on the people, not the dogs. I hope this gets amended.

We don't discriminate people in this way. Offer a behaviour assessment or classes, don't just tear families apart.

this Bylaw is beyond ridiculous!

A bad dog has nothing to do with the breed and everything to do with the owner. A bylaw like this is ridiculous

Enough is enough. My baby is has Pitty and Rottie in him and he is so gentle and loving. Best dog ever.

Such a ridiculous bylaw. This dog has no previous behavioural issues yet this family is being forced to rehome even their dog. That’s wrong!

breed specific legislation is useless. All dogs have the potential to bite, not just one or two breeds!

Specific breeds of dogs are not the problem it is bad owners. Do not condemn dogs out of ignorance.
