This is absolutely disgusting! These are not just dogs/pets, they become part of your family. Not all bully breeds are dangerous animals and need to refrain from being labled and treated differently. We do not ban specific races and religions from communities so why are we singling out animals. To rehome this poor dog now after 9 years would be traumatic and unfair for the animal

This is absolutely unacceptable. This dog has no violent history and is unlikely to become violent. Just because a dog has a portion of a certain breed does not make it a bad dog. No dogs are bad. Owners are bad and owners are good. Bad owners don’t train their dogs, good ones do. This family are good owners and it is so, so, so awful that you are trying to tear apart a lifelong bond. By doing so you actually might cause the dog to become aggressive. Don’t break a dogs spirit. Love the dog. Love the breed. Love all animals. Love all life.

This is ridiculous. This dog is 9 years old and has no history of Violence. How Many People in Your County own small breeds. It is shown that small breads inflict more bites than any of the larger breeds. This is more about how a dog is raised. It is all about the Owners. This dog, it would appear, has been raised By good people. None of them should be punished or traumatized like this.

As a responsible dog owner who works hard to make sure my dogs have training, stay on leash and in my yard I have to say- this is inappropriate. Animal bylaws have their place but banning breeds does nothing. One of my dogs was attacked by a lab. My husband was bit by a mix breed. Training and temperament matter!

This is truly not right... a breed is a breed, it is not right to judge because of what kind of dog they are. Th dog has been in the family for YEARS and no incidents... so why rehome a family member that they have put so much time and effort into? That’s like judging on race... being black or white, and we all know that’s not right.

I am so upset that this is still being talked about. Like seriously!! My Buddy Boy was a mixed breed & one of those breeds was a rottie & he was my best friend. The breeds are being punished & that isn't right. Not enough people are being educated about ALL breeds. This law needs to be abolished. Those who puts this law into affect wouldn't like it if we put a law against them....

The most ridiculous display of ignorance having such a bylaw. This is all thanks to a person who knows nothing about either breed. AM Staffs are actually more of a family dog then most other breeds. Other breeds who have more stats on having aggressive behaviour then AM Staffs or Rotties. Don’t blame the breed!!!!! So ashamed of Guysborough allowing such a law.
