I was shocked that you would give this family such short notice to re-home their dog. Please be more considerate and give them more time. I would think at least a month. I am sorry to hear that you have this policy in your area as these dogs can be very loving, fun and gentle. There are no bad dogs only bad owners unfortunately.

The statistics do not support this sort of ban. Smaller dogs are responsible for far more bites than bullies. Sad that Guysborough County has bought into public hysteria.

I believe it is not the animal that is dangerous. It is the training and the people who own the animal that are dangerous. As long as any pet is in a loving and caring home how can anyone say they cannot keep a family member.

Leave the poor dog alone, he did nothing.. just because of the breed does not mean anything, a tiny chauiwaha can be vicious!! That’s like being racist with people because of their skin colour..
