Breed specific legislation is discriminatory and narrow minded. A 9 year old dog should not be taken from it’s family because it was born With DNA from one or more of the several dog breeds named in an out dated and ignorant bylaw. Heartbreaking and disgusting that any community/county in Nova Scotia has such a by law.

If the owner is not properly looking after dog and dog has been aggressive then the dog should be taken away not because of its breed

Breed Specific Legislation is just wrong. Let this family and every other family in Guysborough County keep their pets. If they are responsible pet owners, it's none of your business what breed of dog they choose for a pet!

Discussing that you would do this! How cruel of you to do this not just for an older fog but to his Family who love him. Bad owners or if he had an offence but neither the case here.Hope u can sleep well with your decision. :(
