It is not fair to any breed to discriminate and say whether or not they are aggressive. All dogs have the ability to bite and be aggressive. If an animal has a history of aggression, then sure, remove that animal but do not remove pets from homes because of their breed. That's like saying you are white and I'm black so you don't belong.

It is not the breed that could be the problem, namely owners. This dog is 9 years old and there has never been any incident. Please reconsider your decision.I have owned many breeds over the years including Rottweillers, never had a problem but I made sure my dogs attended basic dog obedience and kept up their training throughout their life time with me.People were absolutely amazed how friendly and well behaved my dogs were.

BSL is unfair, cruel, and comes from uneducated minds. Would we outlaw all left handed people because one of them did something wrong? Educate yourselves. Small dogs bite way more often, but it’s “cute” because they’re little.

I have actually studied animal behaviour through the Animal Behaviour College (based out of a California) and I find these laws soooo disheartening and such a waste of resources, when there is actually a MUCH higher need for ACTUAL education for dog owners, and stricter guidelines for breeders of dogs with stronger personalities to ENSURE they match their dogs with their respective homes with more thought and education being key, if more time and energy was spent on PROPERLY educating people on how to be calm, assertive leaders, then these issues wouldn’t exist! I also believe there should be stricter spat/neuter laws to help ensure back yard breeding isn’t AS prevalent....figured I’d offer some other suggestions INSTEAD of simply criticizing the IMMENSE lack of insight that goes into decisions like “breed bans” that are then enforced with people who have NO ability to have any compassion or insight, OR actual understanding of these breeds and the real Issues at hand.....and this POOR FAMILY aid paying the price, along with their poor animal that apparently has done NO HARM!!!! This is an outright shame!!!

Any species, including humans, have to potential to respond/attack when threatened. With regards to animals, it's more about the owner and how they've treated or trained the animal - a dog that has been with a family for 9yrs, a senior dog, should not be taken from its family after having no issues of concern. This is a ludicrous bylaw and I don't even desire to own a dog.

I really think what you are doing is a waste of tax payers money, A bully breed can be any breed not just a pitty , or rottie type dog, maybe you should contact vets and hospitals and see what breeds bits the most, because it's the sm breeds that do, I have meet more aggressive sm dogs that should be banned because of their aggression, why are you not banning them, and to take a dog who has been with a family for all it's life and toss it aside like the dog is a piece of garbage, you should be ashamed of yourselves because that is inhumane and cruel, why don't you spend you time on rapist, and child molesters and leave the dog alone, there has never been any reports on this dog being aggressive or mean, get with the times, it's not the breed because any dog can bit....., And I will make sure I will not be spending any of my money in your county this summer,
Best of luck to you, your family and of course your fur baby, this makes my heart hurt.
