Banning is ridiculous. Maybe some regulation but ban is unnecessary.

Wats the harm as long as the pup's are well looked after and the correct vet work is done. Alot of dogs West breeders need looking into more than back yard breeders and other breeders.

I can see that if a store is well run and handles puppies in the appropriate manner then it's better than having to run from suburb to suburb checking out private owners who advertise puppies for sale.

Ridiculous! Pups should be sold buy reputable stores like ACA Pups. This legislation will encourage more puppy farms.

I have a beautiful healthy 9 year old pugalier that I bought from ACA pups and would definitely consider buying my next dog from them.

I got my dog from aca pups and couldn't be happier with him. I don't think banning puppies from pet stores is the answer, it is more important to enforce the legislation around this. People should be able to get the type of dog they want, including the "designer" dogs available from pet stores.

I really want a small puppy and it'll be so much harder to save up and buy one if pet shops get banned.

I totally agree that what the government is proposing is a total farce and ultimately the puppies and the prospective owners will be way worse off.
Let's hope that common sense prevails over the hysteria promoted by the media and radical organisations.

as a first dog owner i want to bring up my dog from a puppy so both the puppy and little nephews can grow up together. i won't be able to do that if i am only able to buy a adult dog from a pet store which would be the only way i would buy a dog.

I think pet stores anyone selling or breeding puppies needs more controls and regulation but banning pet shops from selling puppies is not the way....
