There are dog loving family’s that have beautiful puppy’s and just because they don’t have a petigree certificate they get called back yard breeders which is a very tainted name linked to puppy farms it’s an absolute joke and stupid to be honest I’m against puppy farms but have had puppies with our pure bred golden retrevier and the slanderous comments are very upsetting by short minded people who want to jump on this ban wagon perhaps this could have been done a little differently and let non back yard breeders because of a piece of paper register under another entity to govern any concerns and make it easier for the puppies coming from loving homes and in doing so get a voucher to cut costs in half or more to promote sterilising may be a better option

The service we received from allaboutpups was undeniably great. We had been thinking about getting a pup. They talked us through all the necessities and making sure we were ready rather than just taking our money and expecting us to 'work it out' I have been back instore for a few bits and pieces as I work in the area and have been remembered for the pup we took home that day and always ask how he is doing. They show a wonderful interest in the care for the pups they deal with both before and after. It's refreshing to see such care and passion.

support the sale of local unplanned puppies by owners through local pet shops as long as records are kept and report multiple repeat offenders who dont desex after puppies

I have purchased a puppy from All about Pups and have been very impressed with the care and professionalism displayed. Banning the sale of well bread and cared for pups by such stores to address some concerns in the puppy breeding part of the industry to me appears short sighted and a poorly thought through reaction. Many better ways to improve the quality of care for animals in the breeding process.

I am against the proposed ban as Perth pet shops well looked after puppies and I would highly recommend them to any interested purchasers.

WA Labor govt once again prove they are complete idiots with this type of legislation

We have purchased 4 puppies from ACA pups and have regularly checked shelters to find a suitable cross breed, to no avail. We don’t want purebred, we want puppies that have some guarantee of being an ideal family pet, which all our puppies, across 17 years, have been. Having said this, the prices charged by All About Pups now will probably prevent us from ever purchasing a puppy from you again, which is a real shame.

I’m uncertain that the government understands the repercussions of this type of law? Shouldn’t just the buying laws be revamped so only reputable breeders can sell to pet shops. They are attacking the wrong part in the chain. Face the starting issue not the businesses that are doing the right thing which will ultinaty close them down.

This will just drive up the black market and the cost of buying a pup. Also the pups you will recieve won't have all there health shot and tags etc

I would encourage heavy regulation of pet stores instead. our much adored puppy can from a pet store after much difficulty dealing with breeders who would not respond.

Banning solves nothing, just creates other issues. Pets are critical companions for children, the vulnerable, the elderly, so wonderful for your wellbeing. Authorities should deal withe the few idiots rather than use such draconian measures.

I have bought 2 dogs from ACA Pups, one 15 years ago and a second in 2016. Both have been healthy happy dogs.

We purchased a gorgeous pup from AAP who were fantastic and they had the breed that we were looking for. We couldn't get locally.

I support licenced pet stores selling puppies from approved breeders. I want to meet my puppy before buying.
