You people signing this petition need to add pertinent information to help these beaurocrats make educated decisions on matters of public use of the land and waterways.The government does not care about your feelings or how their decisions will affect you financially. This is politics ask stop your wining and help come up with solutions to their somewhat corrupt business dealings. If you want to protect the wildlife all you have to do is stop the commercial tour boats that are what making 3 to 4 foot wakes everytime they pass through. Hell, not only do these huge wakes destroy the habitat along the shorelines, they also swamp and cause damage to boats moored along the shore lines. I will even go as far to say that the wakes these, thirty to seventy passenger boats are making have caused several of my boats to receive stress fractures in the hulls. There is no way to avoid receiving personal property or personal physical injury from these huge wakes of you hit one at regular speeds. The only safe thing you can do is slow downdowns speed that keeps your boat from getting battered which sometimes still doesn't keep your passengers and ice chests from being tossed around. If you are truly worried about the habitat of the gorge and the fish eggs you mentioned in your report then this is where you start making a difference. I have even witnessed these wakes taking away shorelines and soil from the higher edges during high water line times. These tour companies can buy newly designed hulls that make no wakes just like the fairy, the dreamcatxher, that takes passengers back and forth to the casino across the lake. Do this for a few years and I bet you will find your wildlife issues along the shores and tulees of the river all taken care of. If that us your true motive behind this whole debaucle. This is the life here in this area. If you take that away I guarantee that everyone from local businesses to the cities and towns will suffer. How can you take away something that has not been an issue for the past 40 plus yrs. Maybe if your that scared of what's happening to the wildlife you should do your job better. Isn't that what the fish and wildlife is for?

I strongly oppose further restrictions to the Topock Gorge. My friends and family have used this area for years and want to continue enjoying it.

My family has been enjoying this stretch of river for decades. Stop reducing the useage and restricting it to special interest. This waterway should be used as is for all forms of recreation.
