I am all for medical and recreational marijuana. There are already enough dispensaries that span from near WalMart to across the bridge. That's enough. And anyway, how will any of them make a decent income if more continue to "crop up"?

There are many places for people to buy pot in GS. With each new dispensary, there is a reduction of another business that is going to be an asset to the area. GS can opt for the low -road , or say no, and keep the downtown area family friendly, making it an asset all can enjoy.

The walking route from the pool to the downtown area is already full of Pot Shops - one of the first thing people are aware of coming into town - making the use of Pot socially acceptable in Glenwood which eventually causes more behavior problems for the town.

I am all for letting people choose to smoke or drink in the privacy of their home but there are plenty of liquor and marijuana stores already. We do not want this to be the "face" of Glenwood Springs. We were voted the most art friendly community. Let's not change that to the most stoned community.

NO to any more pot shops in Glenwood springs, especially on the main shopping blvd!!! There are enough shops there already and it's sending the wrong message. I voted yes for the legalization but since then I had a horrible experience when I took to large of 1 hit and got very sick to the point where I almost called an ambulance!!!

We have enough pot shops already. We will for sure lose our family tourists if these shops go into our down town. We will be making the statement that this is our priority, not the tourism that we have worked so hard to grow

Too much of anything is not a good thing. Common sense would dictate that Glenwood Springs would not be an attractive or family friendly town with any additional marijuana shops, growing operations or medical dispensaries.

I don't go to marijuana stores, having plenty of other bad habits and unnecessary ways to spend my money. My office is at 932 Cooper, across the street from the 10th street proposed location . I agree with most of the anti comments. In particular: (1) A marijuana store should have to meet the same standards as a liquor store - prove both that it is needed in the neighborhood, and is desired by the neighbors. There is already another store two blocks away, and obviously lots of neighbors don't want this one. (2) This off-Grand Avenue location has no other retail stores (two churches, homes and apartments, and a few service businesses). The traffic would be incompatible with the neighborhood. (3) Safety is also a concern. we have already witnessed a number of near-accidents at the somewhat confusing 10th and Cooper intersection, where traffic goes from two way to one way on Cooper.

We have enough pot shops in town!! Alcohol is legal, but how many well balanced family friendly small towns have three or more liquor stores within two blocks of each other, and on the main facing streets? Not many, if any!
