St. George's Dragon Orphanage: Stop Abuse of Green Anole Lizards

My poor anole is sick.

I bought a anole from this guy. I trusted the information I was given. I was lied to.

My rescue has been receiving this man’s lizards. He’s been selling anoles under false pretenses, wrong information, and lying about who he is. These animals are sick and dying. Anyone reading this, PLEASE EMAIL ME - [email protected]. I need to collect more information.

Saw this con artist at the flea market at Wallisch Homestead west milford NJ today. He has also be seen at boyscout events and renaissance fairies. The seller is scamming people and, worse, harming animals. He's selling wild-caught anoles that are clearly sick, emaciated, and parasite-ridden. He claims they are a special "rainbow breed" and shows a badly photoshopped picture of lollipop colored lizards to trick buyers. Even a child could tell this image is fake and edited. On top of that, the care advice he gives is completely wrong. He tells customers they can feed these animals powdered food and keep them in tiny plastic containers with LED lights. In reality, anoles require large habitats, live insects, heat lamps, and UVB lighting to survive. Selling them this way is setting them up to suffer and die. And no, you will not get a magical rainbow colored lizard either. If someone were selling sick emaciated puppies in public with false claims of rainbow colors, there'd be no question about reporting it. They would be shut down immediately. These reptiles deserve the same protection and care that dogs and cats receive. Does anyone know the right agency or authority to report this to? This person needs to be stopped before more animals suffer and more people are misled. The fact that this has been going on for years without any punishment is insane. I bought a green anole from him. His information was completely wrong. Leafy was older then he said and he died 3 months later due to truama and abuse. My son was super sad. As he was attached to leafy a lot. This animal abuser will keep going until he is stopped. If you spot him report him to the police for animal cruelty that's all I have to say

Me and my friends bought an anole at our high school flea market thinking this is an innocent exchange. By further research after we got the pet, we realized that it takes more care than we thought it would. The main points the man claims we could do with the anole were “feed with baby food” and “leave it alone for 3 weeks without worry”.

This needs to stop!

He is a scammer who lies. Do not get caught. Anoles need care daily. $60 is a rip off . Less than $30 if bought at PetSmart w what he gives you. Can't get to resources without $50 on line. They don't change colors!! Green if happy, brown if stressed.

The booking agents for whatever events this company goes to need to ban them.

I'm so sad when people treat animals like a toy or decoration and forget they have feelings

This is the one part of the NY Renaissance faire that makes me sad and angry every year. Wish they would refuse to have them back.

HOW DARETH THEE CON ME OUT OF A MOST BEAUTIFUL DRAGON TRIBE! IF NOT FOR MY VAST KNOWLEDGE ON THESE CREATURES HE WOULD HAVE SURELY PERISHED! THESE PEOPLE NEED TO BE STOPPED NAY THEY WILL BE STOPPED BY MY RIGHTEOUS JUDGEMENT THAT IS BESTOWED UPON ME BY THE GREAT DRAGON GODS OF OLD!

We attended the Philly expo and not only is Harold Yankow ilegally saying he represents the boy scouts. (I contacted them and they said they would start investigation)He starves the anoles, and tells buyers a completely false statement about their care. He is a scammer.
