Every decision you make right now will either enable the fossil fuel industry to continue toward climate destruction or empower communities to steer resolutely to an equitable and clean energy future. This airport is about the uber wealthy continuing to ignore societal needs in favor of selfish extravagance. As governor you know the difference. We must change our priorities away from heedless greed to responsible social norms. Greenhouse gas emissions are a legitimate basis for decisions. There really is no question here. Your leadership now can make all the difference or can keep us on a path of compromise that will destroy us in the end.

This immense expansion project has the potential to single-handedly undercut the total combined GHG reductions that Massachusetts and our towns are working diligently to achieve. For this reason alone, it should not be allowed to go forward at Hanscom--or any other airport.

Expansion of Hanscom is the wrong direction for MA climate goals. Massport is sending us BACKWARDS. Please reverse the direction of thisproject, NOW. Time is running out.
