Noise pollution, too. Already enough of it with Hanscom air traffic.

Aircraft worsen the climate crisis. They cause air pollution, add carbon to the air, create noise pollution. Much of the air traffic at Hanscom is for toys of the rich.

There should be no easier decision to make than to halt development of facilities that will increase carbon emissions from discretionary luxury activities. This expansion will allow those who have already contributed the most to cause climate change to increase the suffering of those who have contributed the least, while enabling them to remain blind to their moral failure. Environmental justice demands that there should be no expansion of private jet infrastructure at Hanscom or any other airport until the climate threat has receded. Gary Rucinski, Newton, MA

This expansion contributes to CO2 which over comes all the good work we do to reduce emission---as well as increases lead exposure.
Yes, lead! The private jets use "Avgas" which contains lead. Unleaded gasoline was introduced in the 1970s when health problems from lead became apparent. In the United States, leaded gasoline for use in on-road vehicles was completely phased out as of January 1, 1996. During take off and landing this leaded emission covers the landscape and homes of nearby residents.

This expansion project is a major step backward. It undoes all the hard work of local communities and the greater commonwealth to bring down our green house gas emissions for the convenience and luxury of a very privileged few.

Please halt expansion. We have enough jets flying over us already. This will increase noise and air pollution.

We don't need any expansion at Hanscom; it is surrounded by woods and farms; more planes and bigger planes will have a devastating effect on our beautiful environment in this corner of Middlesex County.
Noise pollution, too. Already enough of it with Hanscom air traffic.
