I teach graduate & undergrad classes in biology, sustainability science and climate change at UMass Boston. These expansion plans are absolutely outrageous. We absolutely must start taking a serious stance, as a society, against these unnecessary and damaging boondoggles. It is hard enough to get rid of deeply entrenched fossil-fuel-addictive behaviors. Inflating the toxic balloon further is just unconscionable.

This plan is sheer madness. The folks who would be using the expanded facilities are already among the highest emitters in our society. They should be cutting back on their carbon addiction, not adding to it. We can help them by stopping this plan to expand private jet services in the Boston area.
